I am passionate about good garden design, with every garden I create being bespoke for my client. This variety and creativity, coupled with a love of getting my hands dirty outdoors is why I love being a garden designer. I endeavour to share this infectious enthusiasm and enjoyment of the outdoors and garden space with all my clients!
Creating a new garden can sometimes seem like a daunting process for a home owner. However, I will guide you through all stages of the project, and work with experienced and skilled landscapers to turn your design into a wonderful reality.
My design philosophy is to respond sensitively to my clients’ needs and carefully integrate their house into the garden, and the garden into its wider surroundings. Materials which are appropriate to the character and location of each particular site are used, and plants that will thrive and flourish in the specific conditions are incorporated successfully into the design as the final stage.
My Backgound
I spent many years in a successful career as a retail buyer with various blue chip companies based both in London and Spain. However, although this combined creativity and design with a commercial outlook, it did not allow me to operate with the independence I desired nor in the outdoor environment that I loved.
Therefore, I made the decision to re- train for 2 years at Plumpton College in Sussex to obtain my Foundation degree in Garden Design in 2012. On graduating, I established Anna Helps Garden Design and have since then been designing and building beautiful gardens for my private clients.
